Losa sobre el suelo!

Losa sobre el suelo!

THANKS to Australia’s good, old-fashioned construction methods, we got laid! *Immature chuckle* Okay, we have a slab. Brendan and I had driven from his brother’s place after Lizzie’s birthday party and we were both feeling a little sick from all the excitement of possibly seeing…

Land ahoy!

Land ahoy!

WITH the knowledge our slab would be poured sometime next week, Brendan and I decided it might be wise to patch that hole in our back fence. One part of us were hoping our land would have been scraped and tested for the slab, and…

Settlement booked for Monday + second site visit

FINALLY, it’s all coming together! Settlement has been booked for Monday afternoon and I managed to drop off the cheque on Friday for the deposit + fees. Phew! When I handed the cheque over to my settlement agent, he informed me the hole in the…

Update: Settlement

Update: Settlement

SETTLEMENT was meant to be yesterday, but because of the extension requested by our lender, it’s all a waiting game right now. My settlement agent is waiting for word from our finance broker who, in turn, is waiting for our lender to come back to…

Our land! Well almost…

Getting there…

Getting there…

JUST a quick update… So as part of our offer for the Vanderlin plot, the owner accepted the conditions that we would require 30 days for mortgage approval, and 40 days for FIRB approval, and settlement will take place after we received unconditional mortgage approval….

Fingers crossed!

Fingers crossed!

AHEM! Yes, we’ve found another plot of land and upon discovering the low price, I called the agent immediately to put in an offer. During my conversation with the agent, Justin O’ Connell from Century 21 Gold Key Realty, the owner has been trying to…

Bye-bye 149 Liberty Drive, Clarkson

Bye-bye 149 Liberty Drive, Clarkson

AFTER a ridiculous amount of to-ing and fro-ing, we found out that our offer was rejected (no surprises there). What we didn’t realise is that our agent, Loma Eldridge, was co-broking the plot with another agent, Gemma Andrews. Loma failed to put in our counter…

149 Liberty Drive, Clarkson

149 Liberty Drive, Clarkson

SO we found a plot of land, going for $249,000 in Clarkson: The asking price is a little high so we’re putting a rather conservative offer and see what the response is. Wish us luck!
